Recap: Youngins shine as Hornets sweep Mavericks, 110-104

The Charlotte Hornets completed a sweep of the
Dallas Mavericks with a 110-104 victory, as the young players on both teams
took center stage.
The Hornets were led by rookie sensation LaMelo
Ball, who had 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Fellow rookie Jalen
McDaniels also had a strong game, contributing 14 points and 7 rebounds off the
bench.
For the Mavericks, second-year guard Luka
Doncic had another impressive performance, scoring 29 points and dishing out 7
assists. However, it was the contributions of the team's younger players that
stood out, with rookie Josh Green scoring a career-high 16 points and
second-year guard Tyrell Terry adding 14 points.
Despite the strong performances from the young
players, the Mavericks were unable to overcome the Hornets' balanced attack. In
addition to Ball and McDaniels, Charlotte received solid contributions from
Terry Rozier (18 points), Miles Bridges (16 points), and Devonte' Graham (15
points).
The win was the Hornets' fourth in a row, and
it came against a Mavericks team that had been playing well in recent weeks.
The victory also marked the first time Charlotte has swept the Mavericks in a
season series since the 1998-99 season.
As the Hornets continue to build around their
young core, the victory over the Mavericks serves as a sign of their potential.
For the Mavericks, the loss highlights the importance of continuing to develop
their young players alongside their established stars, as they look to make a
deep playoff run.
